Yes, People, I have to say generally speaking I really hate the general public, and I mean truly hate the general public. I have a very small group of friends however I do know hundreds if not thousands of people in 27 different countries and yet I cannot stand the general public. Most of the people in this world are very much like sheep, if you hit them hard enough they will go and do what you want them to do. Simple, bad analogy? sure, accurate?, dead on stone.
If you watch the way people act, speak, dress and respond to others it is really amazing. The TV has brain washed millions and if you tell some of the sheep long enough what they are supposed to like and do they do it. So to my friends I love you all, (please stop sending me text messages it gets really annoying). and to the sheep, let the goat tell you where you need to go and what you need to do.

Buddy Walk
I have to say this Sunday is the Gold Coast Buddy Walk, and our friends and family are so excited to support our daughter as we embrace the beauty that is Down Syndrome. However, I am so bummed that I will not be attending due to work this year. This is the first one I have missed and I certainly do not intend on missing any others. I have come to realize that when these walks/fundraisers are taking place everyone refers to them as a "fight against" whatever the people are walking for. Cancer I totally get it, Autism, Down Syndrome and similar blessings are that blessings and I do not ever remember fighting against a blessing. I believe if more people saw the beauty of Down Syndrome it would not be looked upon as a negative.
So many people have told my wife and I that our daughter may not be able to do A, B,C or D, and we gave all that to God, and she is doing all those things and then some.
Yes there are challenges, guess what there are challenges with all kids, and adults no matter what. So if anyone reads this that has a baby with Down Syndrome or is pregnant with a Down Syndrome baby it is one of the best things to come into your life. My daughter has changed me all of my kids have but this one changed me in ways I did not know were possible.
Sorry I wont be there Sunday but Daddy is always with you. Love you Murrays!

Todays Kids/ Plagued by Whimpy Parents
So an interesting point was made during our family get together with the Obrians last night. " Every Kid gets a trophy". If you think about it when I was a kid if you won you got a trophy, if you lost you got a hug from your mom or dad and you were asked if you tried your best, and then you were told to try harder next time. There were no trophies for second place teams, never mind tenth place. Now every kid gets a trophy no matter what. So in theory when these kids graduate from grad school or whichever path they choose, they will expect that everyone will be treated the same. THIS IS NOT REALITY. The constant validation and being so concerned about each persons feelings is going to turn our country and our kids in to a large land mass of whimps.
Now this is not the kids fault it is the parents, and the parents need to know that it is time to put on your big boy underwear and big girl panties and stop coddling these kids and a touch of tough love will take them miles further than they are going right now.

Return of the Goat
So the Goat is back. Much has changed, come, gone and back again. We have had challenges, heart ache, loved ones lost, peaks valleys, highs and lows, but in the end we are still all doing great and are blessed. It has been so long since I have posted anything. I still have one faithful follower, and to that I say I love you babe. I hope to blog more often and pick up some new followers it may be fun. So all in all I am so happy with all aspects of my life, I have a wonderful marriage, 3 kids that creatively try patience, but always know they are loved and a job where I bust my hump but I have fun doing it. The best part is when I leave the job the job leaves me and does not follow me home and take away from my family time which is so very precious.

Really
Really.......I had a conversation with someone at work the other day, and it is really important that we as people try to help each other, whenever we can see an opportunity. The guy was talking about how REALLY bad things are and wishes he did not have to work so hard etc...... which each of us have thought said and vented from time to time. So I asked him how is wife and kids were and he said they were doing REALLY well, I asked how his house was, puzzled he said fine, and then I asked how he got to work, he laughed and said " drove my car dumb ass" I laughed and asked if he ate dinner last night and breakfast this morning, he laughed and said of course and then I asked if his kids and wife did the same. He said of course. So he asked me what my point was and I said you worked REALLY hard to provide your family with what they need, and God makes sure we have what we need not necessarily what we want. I have learned that myself lately, and my wife has REALLY helped to show me that. .... A short while after, he thanked me for listening. Odd, I REALLY did most of the talking.
Thought for the day, do I have what I need versus what I want, and is what I want more important than what I REALLY need.

Its Been Awhile
Yes it has been awhile since the last post. The beer is actually good..... no joke! For what it is worth I have been making a deliberate effort at work to correct people when they use the "R" word. I have found that it makes my skin crawl. So next time you hear someone use the R word, remember the Goat and tell them to knock it off.
Hope everyone out there has a good one! Do something nice for someone that you don't know so well. It means more.

Silver Fox Pale Ale
Well Ladies and Gentleman, it is time today is the day that we all have been waiting for!!!! Ok, really just me, today is the today where I finally get to sample the first bottle, of my very own Pale Ale. A month in the making and if all goes well, I will try one more kit brew, and then on to establishing my own recipe. Friends and family alike are more than welcome to have a bottle of suds with me after all one batch produced about 50 bottles.
I do have to take a moment and thank Cooper and Susan for getting me started, as I had a great time doing this. Certainly a new hobby that I am sure Jenn is way thrilled about. LOL.
Also I find it very important to mention Angie and Jim at AJ's Beer City. The were very helpful, answered all my questions and had everything I needed to get started. I was even able to order my bottles through them. You can always give them a call and they have no problem chatting about the process.
Thanks again AJ's here is the link so check out their site and stop in if you can.
